How will Netflix put an exclamation point on its three-hour barrage of weekend news called Tudum? How about the ultimate news dump for one of his biggest, most popular fantasy adaptations: The Witcher??
First, before the release of the second season on December 17th, Netflix has already renewed the show for a third season. That’s huge news, but that’s not all. One moment Witcher anime function is on its way and, perhaps the strangest news, the series “Children and Family” set in Witcher the world works too. Does it work teach children to bathe properly?? We don’t know yet.
In addition, this brand new mega franchise trailer has been released; includes footage from the first season, as well as brand new footage from the upcoming second season. Check.
As you can see in the trailer, second season will see Geralt (Henry Cavill) leading Ciri (Freya Allan) to Kaer Morhen, the ancestral home of the Witch School, where he learned how to hunt monsters the theme of the first spinoff anime published earlier this year). They are also looking for the missing magic of Yennefer of Wengerberg (Anya Chalotra), but Geralt eventually realizes that the magic taking place inside Ciri could be their biggest threat of all.
And now we know that no matter what happens, the story will not end there. Given that the second season is a few months away, expect more footage, more information and more interviews not only in the second season, but also what we could expect from the third season, the next upcoming anime film, i children’s show. (We still can’t get over the latter.)
