Looking for inspiration for your approach to tweet marketing in 2022?
He has Twitter today shared examples some of the most successful tweet campaigns launched by agencies this year, which could encourage some more creative thinking in your planning.
And while not all brands will be able to launch a Trend Takeover promotion or grand prize game, you can still use these ideas as inspiration – here’s a look at some of the spotlight campaigns.
First, Twitter points out “Do you have milk? National Milk Day campaign, created with the advertising agency GALLEGOS United.
As he explains Twitter:
“I have milk? he wanted to connect with the conversation about #NationalMilkDay (November 1, 21). The brand aimed to promote messages of positivity and create a positive sentiment about the brand and milk on Twitter. ”
As you can see in the tweet above, brand llaunched the Milk Grams delivery service, which saw it share custom tweets with those who left a comment on the opening tweet. This prompted more than 130 responses, which enabled Got Milk to publish a series of positive messages with different handles and strengthened the brand’s position in the market.
This is not a viral example – it was not massive, as such, and caused a huge response. But that helped Got Milk re-establish the purpose of his brand, and at the same time he expanded his messages through different answers and responses.
Although this final note was also interesting to me:
“GALLEGOS and Got Milk were also partners with a popular Korean pop band, BTS, which resulted in some viral tweets.”
Yes, partnering with the most popular band on the platform will do that. Good for those who can.
Twitter also highlights this HOKA footwear campaign, which also aimed to promote the brand and celebrate the work of nurses during the pandemic.
HOKA footwear is designed with a maximum cushion – no wonder it is increasingly popular among professionals who spend long days on their feet. Learn more and shop below. It’s time to fly ™.
– HOKA (@hoka) August 23, 2020
“HOKA usually targets athletes (especially runners). But during the COVID-19 pandemic – nurses and health workers, not athletes, were the most visible, inspiring examples of endurance. HOKA wanted to connect with this audience and join the ongoing support conversation around nurses. ”
Using targeted ads, HOKA was able to maximize its brand, while emphasizing the work of nurses and connecting with trendy discussion. The campaign emphasizes the value of using trends relevant to your brand to ensure you stay part of the debate.
Many of the examples provided by Twitter have used specific tools for Twitter ads, such as remarketing, download trends, video ads, and so on. So, in a way, Twitter is really trying to showcase its various advertising tools and options, but still, there are some interesting considerations here, which could help inform your approach.
Indeed, the key to effective Twitter marketing is to attract attention and use the platform in creative ways. For some, it may be through quick returns and brand responses, but for others, it’s about considering how users interact with tweets and how you can use different platform features to encourage engagement and interaction, which can help increase overall reach .
There is no right, proper way to do this, but taking examples of how other brands have succeeded can help guide their own thinking and approach, which can lead to better results that are more in line with the way people use Twitter today.
