The Qualcomm Snapdragon digital chassis aims to shape the future of the automotive industry

Qualcomm held a press conference at CES 2022 to announce the Snapdragon Digital Chassis, a suite of hardware-software solutions designed in collaboration with carmakers to power tomorrow’s vehicles.

Snapdragon Digital Chassis consists of four customizable and up-to-date cloud-related platforms based on a unified architecture, supporting a suite of security and digital features for the automotive industry.

Snapdragon Ride platform is an open and programmable platform to help the automotive industry deliver Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Level 2 + / Level 3, and is in line with the New Car Assessment ProgramNCAP), the state car safety program.

The key features of the solution in this package are: processor portfolio (SoCs) and accelerators for vision, central computing and automated driving, a turnkey Arriver-based vision kit, a full set of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) / AD functions within a flexible architecture that allows the automotive industry to make its own policies driving, parking or driver tracking, advanced navigation that can be integrated with Arriver driving policy elements.

Snapdragon Cockpit platform provides adaptive constantly connected

SoC and virtualized software solutions that enable the development of multi-displays, multiple cameras, superior audio, video and multimedia experience.

Snapdragon Auto Connectivity Platform provides high-performance in-car connectivity with LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to enable mobile vehicle for all (C-V2X), precise positioning, 5G-based services and secure vehicle connectivity with the cloud, every other and surrounding environment .

Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Services is a suite of pre-integrated software and service platforms designed to upgrade performance and new monetization models.

At the conference, Qualcomm announced a partnership with carmakers Volvo, Honda and Renault.
