The next refresh of the iPhone SE could be called the iPhone SE Plus

According to screen analyst Ross Young, Apple could launch the “iPhone SE Plus” with a 4.7-inch LCD panel next year. He believes Apple will add the nickname “Plus” to the iPhone SE’s refresh next year, despite the fact that the actual screen remains unchanged.

The Cupertino-based company will use the same 4.7-inch LCD panel currently used on the iPhone 8. Rumor has it that the iPhone SE 3 could have an A15 Bionic chip and a 5G connection. A recent leak suggests that the iPhone SE 3 could have a design similar to the iPhone XR, although given Young’s claims, this now seems unlikely.

Another leak claimed that Apple could launch the iPhone SE Plus with a 5.5-inch screen alongside the iPhone SE 3. It is possible that Ross Young misinterpreted the information from his source.

As for the refresh of the iPhone SE with a 5.7 ″ -6.1 ″ screen, Ross believes it has been moved to 2024. Earlier it was rumored that Apple would launch the 6.1-inch iPhone SE 3 in 2023 with a hole.

From all the information leaks we’ve seen so far, the iPhone SE 3 doesn’t look like a big upgrade from a design standpoint. It should have the same design as the existing model, with Apple focusing on major internal improvements and 5G connectivity.

The 5G addition will make the iPhone SE 3 the cheapest iPhone in Apple’s lineup.

Apple last refreshed the iPhone SE in April 2020, so the iPhone SE 3 should also be launched at about the same time next year.

Will you buy an iPhone SE 3 if it ships a similar design as the existing model, a faster A-series chip and 5G connectivity?
