The newest Apple store in New York is opening with a dedicated download space

Apple’s new store at Bay Plaza Mall in the Bronx, NYC, with a new dedicated pick-up station.

Apple The Mall is located at Bay Plaza on Baychester Avenue in the Bronx, NYC. The store opened for the first time on Friday, Sept. 24, in time for the iPhone 13, iPad and new iPad mini.

How it transmits Michael Steeber, the new store features “the biggest change in Apple Store design in years” thanks to a new dedicated download station:

The biggest change in the design of the Apple Store in recent years: Apple The Mall at Bay Plaza opened today in the Bronx, with a new pilot design focused on the Apple Pickup.

The interior of the store has a distinctive wood-paneled design that can be seen in this 360-degree virtual tour from the Storeteller:

Located south of Co-Op City and west of Pelham Bay Park, Apple The Mall on Bay Plaza for the first time brings convenient service and support to the Bronx and introduces a store experience never seen before in any Apple store in the world. When you shop at home and choose to pick up at the store, your order will be waiting in Apple’s new pick-up zone, a permanent home to pick up orders online through the heart of the store.

The new store has a dedicated download station instead of a forum, which probably reflects a change in Apple’s retail experience as more people want to buy from Apple online rather than visit for an extended store experience. That means collecting Apple’s new best iPhone is now easier than ever at the new Apple Bronx store, just in time for the launch weekend!
