The large-screen iPhone SE could be delayed until 2024

The first iPhone SE with an edge-to-edge screen will not be launched until 2024, according to a new report. And the third-generation model in the budget line, which is expected in 2022, will reportedly get an unexpected name.
iPhone SE Plus won’t actually be a ‘plus’
Apple will debut a a phone called the iPhone SE Plus 2022, according to a post by expert to show Ross Young on Twitter. But unlike previous Apple phones, the “Plus” will not refer to a larger screen size, as the model will retain the same 4.7-inch screen as the current version, which is based on the iPhone 8. Instead, the “Plus” obviously applies to add faster 5G mobile networking.
Larger iPhone SE 2024
Several sources agree that Apple will unveil a new iPhone SE model with 5G 2022. Last spring, Young thought the model would then come with a 6.1-inch screen and a hole-drilling camera. He predicted that the device would be launched in 2023. He now says that the device, with a screen between 5.7 inches and 6.1 inches, will not arrive before 2024.

Not everyone agrees
Others have different opinions about future iPhone SE models. A rival report from just a few days ago claims that the iPhone SE for 2022 (whatever it’s called) will come with a 6.1-inch screen and a design based on the iPhone XR.
Regardless of the design, if Apple sticks to its previous practice, the next iPhone SE will come out in the spring of 2022. Cupertino usually reserves the fall launch for leading iPhone models.
Eventually, the 2022 iPhone SE is likely to take the place of the iPhone 13 mini in Apple’s lineup. Poor sales reportedly mean Apple will stop producing the 5.4-inch iPhone after this year’s model.
