The image shows what Facebook’s upcoming smartwatch might have a comma screen

Facebook is working on a smartwatch with a rounded screen and a notch in which the camera is located. A photo of the wearable device was revealed in one of Facebook’s iOS apps that allow you to control the smart glasses he launched in partnership with Ray-Ban.

Reports that Facebook, now known as Meta, is working on a smartwatch first surfaced earlier this year. According to today’s report, the Facebook smartwatch will have a detachable wrist strap and a seemingly button on the top of the case.

Turning on the camera means that the wearable device can also be used for video calling purposes. This will also set Facebook apart from other portable devices on the market, as none of them have a built-in camera. The camera can also quickly capture photos and videos and share them on Facebook, WhatsApp or Instagram.

Facebook Watch

The company reportedly intends to launch a smartwatch with a built-in mobile connection, which means it can work even when not actively paired with a smartphone.

Facebook plans to launch its first smartwatch in 2022, but a final decision on the issue is still pending, and the timing could change. Regardless, Facebook is already working on three generations of smartwatches that will be released at different times.

Although not mentioned, Facebook Watch could launch a modified version of Android. It will be interesting to see how Facebook will make its wearable device different from other offerings on the market, especially since it will enter the market relatively late.
