The just-released update for Halide helps iPhone and iPad owners take better close-up photos. The iOS app works with the macro camera in the iPhone 13 Pro series, but also offers tools that can help any user of a phone or tablet with close-ups.

This is in addition to many other Halide Mark II 2.5 features that give you more control over the cameras built into the iPhone and iPad than are available in Apple’s own app.

Halide 2.5: Big news for small items

Lux Optics promises that the Halide Mark II 2.5 is “the best close-up photo tool on any iPhone and the perfect companion for the new iPhone 13 Pro with focus camera.” The app gives the user precise focus control to make sure tiny objects appear as sharp as possible in images. And that’s just the beginning.

Halide 2.5 adds Neural Macro, a feature that can enhance the appearance of close-up images after they are taken.
It offers “a powerful Al-based detail enhancement process that gets even more detail from your processed image,” according to Lux Optics. And it can enhance images 2x or 3x and keep them sharp.

More on the powerful camera app

Halide is equipped with features, but is designed for use by beginners. However, it also offers many professional-quality features, such as tools for working with RAW images.

At first glance, it’s reminiscent of Apple’s camera app, but it upgrades to it with extras like manual focus. And they barely scratch the surface. Consumers can appreciate its support for XDR 14-bit RAW waveform transmissions, color zebras, focus assistance such as focus and magnifier, histograms, custom level grid, and manual depth recording.

Halide Mark II 2.5 is now available in the App Store. A one-time purchase costs $ 49.99 or there is an annual subscription of $ 11.99 and a monthly subscription of $ 2.99.
