Practical with Anker PowerWave 2-in-1 MagSafe stand
Entering as one of the newer additions to the Anker’s MagSafe charger barn, its newer PowerWave 2-in-1 stand comes with the same budget focus as we expected. In addition to the 7.5 W main magnetic charging bracket resting on the metal arm, there is a 5 W secondary pad below.
So not only can it recharge your phone, but it can also charge a pair of AirPods or other handsets in a streamlined form. Other notable features, such as the USB-C port and adjustable bracket angle, also make it stand out among MagSafe offerings. Designed specifically for use with the iPhone 12 or the new iPhone 13, we practically check to see if it is $ 38 the add-on is worth buying to pair with the latest Apple.
Here is a more detailed overview of the specifications:
- Turn on 2 devices at once: While the magnetic cradle charges your iPhone 13, charge your AirPods wireless charging case using the lower charging cradle.
- Adjustable phone charging surface: Charge vertically or horizontally and adjust the viewing angle to 40 degrees to watch videos or track incoming messages.
- Snap and Secure: Charge your iPhone 13 more efficiently with a strong magnetic connection and easy alignment for a continuous charging experience.
I’ve been using the Anker PowerWave 2-in-1 MagSafe stand the last few weeks with my iPhone 12 and I really enjoyed the value I got for the price. There are several more expensive versions on the market, but that makes theft under $ 40. And now that my iPhone 13 is here, it’s sure to be one of my main chargers for use with Apple’s new device.
In terms of design, it is quite comparable to what we expected from other models on the market. Soft-touch plastic is used for the base and surface of the magnetic stand, as well as a metal hand to hold your handset. So the whole construction is actually pretty solid and has a nice weight at the base to keep it stable.
Although it is much more affordable than some other models, the construction does not reveal that. The quality is very similar to what you’ll find in Belkin’s $ 130 equivalent, which means it’s pretty nice in both looks and feel.
One thing that is actually better on the Anker PowerWave 2-in-1 MagSafe stand than almost every other alternative I’ve used is the power of the magnet. While you can’t so much remove the iPhone 12 or 13 from the holder, it holds things firmly in place, more so than at least Belkin.
I also appreciate the ability to adjust the angle of the MagSafe bracket at the top. The hinges have a more subtle angle, they can be fully rotated all the way back, but the adjustment is definitely an improvement over the others I’ve used with a fixed position.
By the way, the only real drawback of this charger is its 7.5 W Qi output on the main magnetic charger. Although the price is low, it’s hard to blame the Anker PowerWave 2-in-1 MagSafe standpoint, as other models that are almost twice as expensive lack full speeds of 15W.
