At CES 2022, Satechi unveiled two new add-ons designed for the new M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook. Both the USB-4 Multiport Adapter and Pro Hub Max expand the ports available on new laptops, opening up connectivity options.

And, in the case of 8K HDMI adapter support, one port goes a little further than the current comfort zone of a Mac laptop.

USB-4 Multiport Adapter has 8K HDMI port to help control high speed video and data transfer, Gigabit Ethernet port, USB-C PD charging port, three USB-A data ports that support speeds up to 10Gb / s and micro / SD readers card.

The adapter supports HDMI 8K output up to 60Hz for machines that can handle it. Note that the M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook currently support up to 6K resolution, according to Apple specifications.

Satechi said the design allows heat to be dissipated to prevent overheating of connected devices.

Released on the heels of another capable Satechi hub, which came out last month, the Pro Hub Max plugs into two USB-C ports on the side of one of Apple’s new MacBook Pro models.

The Pro Hub Max will be available in space gray and silver to match your MacBook, of course.
