The fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery it was supposed to be available on Netflix the day after it premiered on Paramount + in the U.S. on Nov. 18, but that won’t happen again. In fact, fans outside the U.S. and Canada will have to wait months to see new episodes – legally, that is – if they are ever given the chance. According to Rock, ViacomCBS has terminated its contract with Netflix, which has been in force since the launch of the 2017 series.

The publication says the money Netflix paid for the rights to the series overseas was paid for most of Discovery’s large budget. Now that ViacomCBS has paid off the contract, it has also withdrawn the entire show from Netflix.
