One of Hollywood’s most controversial high roles lawsuits lately – between Marvel star Scarlett Johansson and Disney, on the trail Black widow‘s Disney Edition + –is resolved. Suit, filed in late July, claimed to be pivot for cinema and streaming editions (via Disney + “Premiere Access”) violated Johansson’s contract, which guaranteed that the film would win exclusive cinema edition– and supposedly led to the loss of the actor tens of millions of dollars as a result. Not surprisingly, the brawl took the headlines and resulted back and forth exchanges in the media until Disney moved to resolve a contractual dispute in a private setting. That seems to be exactly what happened.
And, obviously, everyone is happy, at least when they talk to the press. The Hollywood Reporter quotes Johansson’s word “I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney. I am incredibly proud of the work we have done together for years and I have enjoyed a creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our cooperation in the years to come. ”
In case you’re wondering “Wait, he’ll work with Disney again why?” (especially after the company called her “callous neglect“Because of the circumstances surrounding covid-19 pandemicic which led to Black widow‘s postponed and finally streaming edition,, i she revealed that she had reduced her salary by 20 million dollars Black widow), THR also has a citation from Disney Studios chairman Alan Bergman reminds us that there was already collaboration on the works before the pay dispute: “I am very pleased that we have been able to reach a joint agreement with Scarlett Johansson on this Black widow. We appreciate her contribution Marvel Cinematic Universe and we look forward to working together on a number of upcoming projects, including Disney’s Tower of terror. ”
We almost forgot about it to Tower of terror film, which was registered back in June as a vehicle for Johansson (as well as the House of the Mouse theme parks, as they will be based on Disney’s it no longer exists Twilight Zone-inspired ride).
