Rittenhouse’s lawyer claims that the iPad is a fake video with a zoom pinch

Kyle Rittenhouse’s lawyer made the bizarre claim that the finger zoom function on iPads uses artificial intelligence “to create what they believe is happening.”

You can watch him present this argument in the video below, and his understanding of technology is further demonstrated by using the word logarithm instead of algorithm…

What is even more bizarre, the judge in the case accepted this as a valid argument and said that the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove that it is incorrect.

The Verge reports.

While Kyle Rittenhouse took the position to answer questions about the sequence of events before he shot and killed a man in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the jury was forced to watch video evidence shown in miniature – because Rittenhouse’s attorney came up with the crazy idea that Apple has “artificial intelligence” that manipulates the footage when you zoom in on it with your fingers on an iPad, and Judge Bruce Schroeder has fully embraced that possibility.

“IPads, produced by Apple, have artificial intelligence that allows things to be viewed through three-dimensionality and logarithms,” the defense insisted. “He uses artificial intelligence, or their logarithms, to create what they believe is happening. So, this is not really an improved video, this is Apple’s iPad programming that creates what it thinks exists, not what is necessary there, ”they added.

The judge responded by banning the enlarged recording unless the prosecution proves it was not manipulated, and gave them only 20 minutes to find and apprehend the Apple expert, which was obviously impossible. Zooming with your fingers, of course, does nothing more than display a small portion of the video in full screen.

Rittenhaus shot and killed two men, and seriously wounded another in, as he claims, self-defense. As ABCNews explains, he faces six charges, including one for first-degree intent to murder.

This charge is linked to the death of Anthony Huber. The video shows Rittenhouse running down the street after he shot Rosenbaum when he fell into the street. Huber jumps at him and swings a skateboard at his head and neck and tries to grab Rittenhouse’s gun before Rittenhouse shoots. The criminal report states that Rittenhouse aimed his weapon at Huber.

Intentional murder means just that – a person has killed someone and intended to do so. Bucher said that if Rittenhouse pointed a gun at Rosenbaum and pulled the trigger, it would constitute premeditated murder. However, self-defense would be the main trump card of the prosecution.

“Why I intended to kill this person makes a difference,” Bucher said.

That count carries a mandatory life sentence. The weapon modifier should add up to five years.
