When Apple announced the “iPhone 13,” the Apple Watch Series 7, the 6th generation iPad mini and the 9th generation iPad at its “California Streaming” event, the Apple Watch was the only product that didn’t get a release date.
Instead of announcing pre-orders and release dates, Apple said the latest generation of its smartwatch will be released “later this fall”. According to Apple publisher Jon Prosser, “later this fall” could mean next month.
As reported by Front Page Tech, Prosser claims that the Apple Watch Series 7 could start shipping as early as mid-October. The newspaper, which publishes, also says that reservations for the new watch could start as early as next week.
According to several sources familiar with the release, we hear that pre-orders could happen as early as next week, and delivery will take place in mid-October.
Apple has started informing reporters that they expect “more information in the coming weeks” regarding the review units, but as far as I understand, they have not yet been given the exact date of pre-orders or launches.
The Apple Watch Series 7 has a 20% larger screen, two new watches, faster charging, dust resistance and a crack-resistant front crystal.
The narrower edges allow the screen to maximize the screen area, while minimally changing the dimensions of the watch itself. The design of the Apple Watch Series 7 is enhanced by softer, more rounded corners, and the screen has a unique breaking edge that makes the clocks and applications on the entire screen seamlessly connect with the curvature of the case. The Apple Watch Series 7 also has a user interface optimized for a larger screen, offering greater readability and ease of use, plus two unique watch faces – the Contour and Modular Duo – designed specifically for the new device. With on-screen improvements, users benefit from the same all-day 18-hour battery life, now supplemented by 33 percent faster charging.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is the most durable Apple Watch ever, with a stronger, more crack-resistant front crystal. It is the first Apple Watch to be IP6X certified for dust resistance and maintain WR50 water resistance.
