Although Ingenuity continues to break its own records as the first motorized, controlled flying machine on another planet, we didn’t have they have much visual evidence of his exploits. There is telemetry data that NASA scientists receive on Earth, but not much in the form of photographs and videos. Fortunately, NASA now has published the most detailed footage yet ingenuity in flight.

Recently, NASA scientists had to program Ingenuity to move a little faster, to compensate for the thinner atmosphere on Mars as the seasons of the planet change. The helicopter navigation system is automated and uses artificial intelligence to continuously measure and correct environmental variables such as wind speed and ground level below it.
“It’s great to see this [automatic correction] happen, ”said Håvard Grip, Ingenuity’s chief pilot, in the same let go. “It strengthens the precision of our modeling and our understanding of how best to manage Ingenuity.”
During its 13th flight, Ingenuity made 10 shots of some interesting rocks on the ground as part of its ongoing reconnaissance mission for Perseverance.
