Apple sent a developer on Tuesday to release iOS 15.2, along with its iPad equivalent. When released to the public, the iPhone will alert parents if their children send or receive acts, there is a new application privacy report, and users will be able to search for AirTags that may be following them.

MacOS 12.1 RC and watchOS 8.3 RC also got developers on Tuesday.

What’s new in iOS 15.2

Candidates for the release are the final step in beta testing. They are what Apple once called the golden masters and give beta testers a chance to test the final version of operating systems before they are presented to the general public. But sometimes nasty mistakes appear in candidates for the issue. If so, it will be RC2 in a few days.

Still, this gives the world a first look at the iOS 15.2 release notes. These state:

“IOS 15.2 adds the Apple Music Voice Plan, a new level of subscription that allows access to music using Siri. This update also includes the Application Privacy Report, new security features for children and parents in messages, and other features and bug fixes for your iPhone. ”

The Apple Music Voice Plan announced in October makes streaming audio service more affordable for those who agree not to use buttons.

The Application Privacy Report shows iPhone and iPad users what third-party applications do. It will detect the sensors, data and internet usage of each application in a simple chart.

With iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2, iPhone and iPad will be able to detect whether a user receives or sends text with sexually explicit photos. The goal is to protect children from sexual predators.

Candidates, not the final versions

Candidates for iOS 15.2, iPadOS 15.2, macOS12.1 and watchOS 8.3 are currently only for registered Apple Developer Program members who pay. But public versions should be out soon.

The full release could come by mid-December, about a week after the RCs.
