Like any other laptop manufacturer, MSI takes CES 2022 as an opportunity to remodel your gaming machines and creators with powerful new chips.

TThe star of MSI’s updated line of gaming laptops is the new 17-inch Stealth GS77 ($ 1,799), which not only gets support for Nvidia’s new RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti GPUs, but it also features MSI’s new Liquid Thermal Pad cooling technology, which uses liquid metal thermal paste to improve heat transfer beyond the laptop’s CPU. All in all, when combined with the arrival of new Intel 12th generation chips and support for DDR5 RAM, MSI claims that CPU performance has increased from 30% to 45% over the previous model.

However, GS77 upgrades aren’t just about speed. It also has a new design, with a more durable hinges made of zinc alloy, 8% larger button caps, new six-speaker sound system and A 50% bigger touchpad, which MSI says has been specifically modified to address touchpad complaints on previous models that are a bit cramped.

TThe 17-inch GS77 is certainly not a small laptop, it weighs about 4.5 pounds and only 0.81 inches thick, or that remains relatively portable while still packing a huge 99.9 WHr battery (which is as big as you can put in a laptop and still take it on the plane). Oh, and for people who don’t necessarily want to get everyone’s attention, the GS77 Stealth has even been given a more muted “Core Black” color to help the system fit in, even though the keyboard still comes with full RGB key illumination when you want to show off a bit.

Then there are the new ones GE76 (from $ 1,659) and GE66 Raider laptops ($ 2,249). MSI retains a bright RGB light strip over previous models while adding a new line of 12th-generation Intel processors, which, along with MSI’s new OverBoost mode, help laptops reduce performance to 220 watts.

And if you you want a more affordable gaming laptop that can also serve as a good everyday workhorse, new laptops Vector GP76 (1899 USD) and GP66 (2249 USD) come with 12th generation Intel chips, RTX 30 series GPUs (though not the new 3070 Ti or 3080 Ti cards), up to 240Hz QHD display and simple, understated design with solid port selection (2x USB 3.2 Type-A, 1 USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C, HDMI 2.1, mini DisplayPort and more).

Rrounding out new MSI laptops is a special edition of the collaboration with Ubisoft, tOn Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six Extraction edition laptop, which has a unique keyboard design and cover that matches the latest Rainbow Six title. MSI has a tradition of showing at least one special edition of the laptop each year at CES, but a nice thing about the Rainbox Six Crosshair 15 whether it is unlike some companies other super expensive, a limited edition gaming laptop, this one is designed to be a little more affordable with a starting price of $ 2,000 for the 15.6-inch 165HZ QHD display, Core i7-12700H CPU, 16GB of RAM and RTX 3070.

For artists and video editors looking for powerful content creation machines, MSI has boosted its Creator series of laptops with more powerful specs and a new design that shamelessly tries to steal some of the underrated premium appeal of Apple’s MacBook line.

MSI Creator Z17

For the Creator Z17 ($ 3,249), MSI says it has created the world’s first 17-inch laptop with pen input support, while its 16:10 screen provides a bit of an extra vertical screen for drawing or sketching. But the Creator laptop that really stands out to me is the new Creator Z16 ($ 2,499), which keeps pace with MSI’s gaming laptops thanks to support for Intel Core i9 CPUs up to 12th generation, Nvidia’s new RTX 3080 Ti GPU and DDR5 RAM. which means that those who are not players do not have to sacrifice anything when it comes to performance. And while it doesn’t have one of MSI’s new liquid metal cooling pads, the Creator Z16 will come with steam chamber cooling to ensure increased cooling and airflow for optimal performance.

MSI also gives its own MSI Center software is some of the likes including two new modes of operation. MSI says its new Smart Auto feature is designed to make your laptop more intelligentp ‘performance so you don’t have to manually adjust when switching between different workloads. Tthe new Ambient Silent AI mode monitors your environment to match laptop laptop speed to ambient noise levels, so the laptop can achieve a little extra performance without turning into a nuisance, whether you’re in a library or a coffee shop.

All MSI’s new laptops will be available for the previous versionorder jan. 25, before delivery sometime in February.
