Leaker claims the iMac Pro with M1 Pro / M1 Max chips, a ProMotion mini-LED display and more is slated for the first half of 2022.

Dylandkt, which has been building its reputation in connection with Apple’s data leak over the past year, has shared some information about a possible new iMac or iMac Pro that could be launched in the first half of 2022.

According to new information, this new iMac, for which it’s still unclear whether this could be a 27-inch replacement or the new iMac Pro, and will include a lot of features just added to the new MacBook Pro.

Starting with the screen, Dylan says this iMac Pro will feature mini-LED technology and ProMotion, which are two features available on the new MacBook Pro. While it doesn’t say the screen size, the leak believes it will have a similar design as the 24-inch iMac and Pro Display XDR.

It’s important to note that both products have different designs, which we could assume Dylan says this one will have a more square look rather than rounded edges, which we had with past Macs. Another thing that distinguishes the 24-inch iMac from this new model is that the iMac Pro will reportedly have black bezels.

Dylan believes this new iMac Pro will have a base model configuration of 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD memory, just like the new MacBook Pro. Also, users will have the option to choose between M1 Pro and M1 Max chips.

In another tweet, the leak says there is a “May be an additional configuration, but at the moment I can’t say for sure. “

The iMac Pro is also rumored to have an HDMI port, SD card slot and USB-C ports. Just like the 24-inch iMac, this one is expected to have Ethernet at the standard standard.

Dylan also says that Face ID has been tested for this Mac, although it has not been confirmed. This week, Apple executives said why they didn’t implement Face ID on the MacBook Pro despite the comma because Touch ID brings a better experience:

Tom Boger, Apple’s vice president of marketing for Mac and iPad products, said in an interview that “Touch ID is more convenient on a laptop because your hands are already on the keyboard.”

As for its price, Dylan expects this iMac Pro to start at over $ 2,000. If that’s the price, it seems to be a replacement for the 27-inch Intel iMac, not the all-new iMac Pro, which was discontinued a few months ago. Although, the leak says that “the current internal nominee for this device is ‘iMac Pro’.”

Since this iMac should be launched in the first half of 2022, when people expect a redesigned MacBook Air and a replacement for the 27-inch iMac, we expect more rumors in the coming month. Below you can find Dylan’s topic on everything he says comes with this new iMac Pro.
