Hollywood Foreign Press Association

87 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association award the Golden Globe each year. With last year’s ceremony, they found themselves under fire from critics for not having black members.

The organization said it would reform in various ways, but some media outlets distanced themselves from it. Among them is NBC, which usually broadcasts the ceremony. The network said it would not broadcast the ceremony on television in 2022, but would consider doing so in 2023.

As a result, the 2022 awards ceremony on Sunday night was less important than usual. This was it Diversity‘s description: “Golden Globes are hosting an event that could have been put in an email.”

The third season of Ted Lasso is in production and will air later this year on Apple TV +. Streaming services are available for a subscription of $ 4.99 per month.
