iOS 15.1 Beta 2 fixes bugs by preventing iPhone 13 users from unlocking with the Apple Watch when disguised

Apple today unveiled a second beta version of iOS 15.1 to developers, and the update includes fixing an annoying bug that affects iPhone 13 owners who also have an Apple Watch.

In beta 2, the Apple Watch Unlock feature has been fixed, and the proven Apple Watch can be reused to unlock the PiPhone 13‌ while wearing the case.

Prior to the update, attempting to enable the Unlock feature using Apple Watch in Settings> Face ID and Password would result in an error stating that the iPhone cannot communicate with the Apple Watch. This error message has now been addressed, and the feature can be successfully activated after the update.

Apple has promised in a support document that a solution to the problem will come in a future update, and it looks like the update could be iOS 15.1. It’s not clear if we’ll also see an update for iOS 15.0.1 that also has fixes, as it could be a few more weeks before iOS 15.1 sees a public release.
