HTC’s Vive Cosmos is one of the best VR headsets on the market, but if we’re realistic, it’s always been a little too expensive. You can now buy that model from Amazon during the Black Friday sale for $ 399 instead of $ 549, which is the biggest discount we’ve seen so far. Amazon also has offers for other HTC headphones and packages, so it’s a good time to jump in if you’re waiting for a sale.

Vive Cosmos must be connected to a computer, but there is no need to install a sensor thanks to a well-functioning inside-out tracking system, according to our Engadget review. Its strongest feature is the bright and sharp screens with a very high resolution of 2,880 x 1,700 pixels on both eyes, along with decent refresh rates of 90 Hz. The biggest drawback is the price, because they are far more expensive than Oculus headphones – but sales bring them in line with competitors. Note that the controllers are not turned on.

On top of the standalone headphones, you can get a good offer of the HTC Cosmos Elite package designed for gamers. Instead of using tracking from the inside out, the Elite headphones come with a pre-installed front panel for external tracking that can be paired with base stations for greater precision. It includes two base stations and a pair of Vive controllers, along with Vive Cosmos headphones – and now costs $ 649 instead of $ 899 to save $ 250 (28 percent).

HTC’s Vive Pro headphones and packages are also on sale on Amazon at the best prices we’ve seen. HTC Vive Pro offers features such as a resolution of 1,440 x 1,600 pixels per eye on OLED screens, excellent ergonomics and built-in headphones. They’re not for everyone because of the price, as we noted in our review, but you can now buy the HTC Vive Pro system, including headphones, base stations and 2.0 controllers for $ 899 instead of $ 1,199.

HTC’s Vive Pro Eye enhances this with the addition of eye tracking that uses Tobi’s technology. It can track users’ eyeballs in real time, allowing developers to collect data on where and when they watch, enabling new and more impressive experiences. It also allows aperture rendering, increasing the resolution based on where the user is looking. You can now download the HTC Vive Pro Eye headphones for just $ 599 instead of $ 799, and the HTC Vive Pro Eye VR system for $ 1,099, which is less than the regular price of $ 1,399.
