How to easily take screenshots of an entire website on a Mac

Need to capture the entire screen of a website on a Mac? There is a very simple way to do this, but it does not include the use of a screen capture tool for Mac as this feature is not currently available in macOS. However, don’t worry, as we have very easy access to capture screenshots across the entire web page.

The easiest way to take screenshots to scroll across a page on a Mac is to use the Firefox web browser right now. Firefox offers the most direct way on a Mac, although you can also take full-screen screenshots on a Mac with Safari, and with Chrome, and even with third-party paid tools.

Get FireFox and install it on your Mac (it’s free) if you haven’t already

  2. Go to the web page for which you want to take a full screen image of the web page
  3. Scroll down the entire webpage (this is necessary to load lazy images)

Here it is, your complete screenshot of the website is taken and stored either in the clipboard ready for pasting elsewhere, or as an image file with which you can do whatever you want.

Full-page screenshots are very often needed by web developers, designers, editors, project managers and almost every other difficult job on the web.

Currently, there isn’t a super easy approach to full-page screen capture on a Mac like on the iPhone and iPad that is automatically activated when screen capture in Safari, but there may be that feature in a future version.
