Update: The story has been updated to reflect that the HomePod mini is now available in Italy, as well as having new color options in Australia, Germany and New Zealand.
Earlier this month, Apple began selling the HomePod mini in three new colors in the U.S. Now the company is expanding the availability of these options to Australia and New Zealand, as well as making the product available in Italy for the first time ever.
The new orange, yellow and blue HomePod mini colors were presented during Apple’s October “Unleashed” event, where the company also announced the new M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro, as well as the third generation AirPods headphones.
Then, a week later, the company began selling HomePod mini in these new options in the United States, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan.
Apple also plans to launch the HomePod mini in orange, yellow and blue in Austria, France, India, Ireland, Spain and the UK by the end of November, which could happen every day from now on.
Yesterday’s report from an Italian blog iSpace said Apple’s smart speaker will be available in Italy from today.
The company introduced the HomePod mini in 2020, following the launch of the controversial full-size HomePod. At the time, here’s how the company described the product when it was introduced:
“HomePod mini has everything customers want in a smart speaker – amazing sound for listening to music, an intelligent world-class assistant that provides a personal experience to every member of the household, and like every Apple product, is designed with privacy and security in mind,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The HomePod mini is the ultimate smart speaker for anyone with an Apple device. It works effortlessly with iPhone to deliver music, answer calls or deliver personalized listening suggestions, pick up sound from Apple TV, play music from Mac, and more. There are a lot of Apple innovations packaged in such a small speaker, all at an affordable price. ”
