You don’t have to splash around on Apple TV to enjoy Apple TV + and Apple Music with all your favorite streaming services. They are now available on a range of brilliant third-party devices – many of which are now on sale.

Unlike Apple, Amazon and Roku offer big discounts for Black Friday that are already active. Here are our picks of the best Apple TV alternatives you can buy today for just $ 19.99.

Affordable alternatives for Apple TV

The only real advantage of buying a real Apple TV is Apple Arcade, which is exclusive to Apple’s own hardware. But if that doesn’t interest you, other Apple services – including AirPlay – are available elsewhere.

And why spend more than $ 179 on Apple’s set-top box when you can only spend $ 19.99 on something that basically does the same thing?

Probably the most popular streaming stick – and with good reason.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick doesn’t need to be introduced. It has been a leader in the streaming market for years, thanks to its incredibly affordable price, impressive feature set and support for all popular streaming services.

In addition to Apple TV +, Apple Music and AirPlay, the Fire TV Stick offers Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney +, HBO Max, Hulu, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer and many, many more. Call it – the Fire TV Stick has it.

This 4K model, as its name suggests, offers Ultra HD video display, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. What’s more, at Amazon’s Black Friday sale, it’s only $ 24.99 – less than you’ll pay for the cheap Lite version.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K
You don’t like Fire TV? Roku is the next best option.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K

If you’re not a fan of Amazon’s Fire TV operating system, there’s Roku Streaming Stick 4K. It’s essentially the same device – which allows access to almost all the same services – but instead runs Roku’s own software.

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K also has another trick up its sleeve: it also provides access to Roku Originals – not available elsewhere – and more than 200 free live TV channels, right out of the box.

Rock’s rod also offers support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but is a little more expensive than Amazon’s offer at $ 29 with a Black Friday discount.

Year of premiere

If you can do without Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, there’s the Roku Premiere even more affordable. It does almost everything that Roku Streaming Stick does – including Ultra HD video – but without additional embellishments.

It’s also significantly more affordable, with a Black Friday discount that reduces it to just $ 19.99 for a limited time.

Pay attention to other discounts

Black Friday does not officially begin until Friday, November 26. If none of the above devices interest you, look for discounts on other popular streaming devices, such as Google Chromecast – which also supports Apple services.

And if you’re content with just the original Apple TV, you might even see discounts on those from third-party retailers. They probably won’t be big, and you certainly won’t get them from Apple, but companies like Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo have offered less savings on Apple TV in the past.
