Gourmet: Apple is planning a redesigned iPad Pro, a premium iMac, a new Mac Pro, more for 2022.

Apple had a busy 2021 year, announcing the iPhone 13 line, Apple’s new Silicon-powered Macs and more. Looking ahead to 2022, much more can be expected from the company. In its latest edition Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman broke everything he expects Apple to present in the new year.

In today’s newsletter, Gourmet confirms most of what was previously published about what to expect from Apple in 2022. He still says that Apple is planning a new iPad Pro design with support for wireless charging, as well as updates for the lower-end iPad Air and iPad home iPad.

Gurman also says Apple has a redesigned MacBook Air in preparation for 2022, along with a “redesigned, premium iMac with Apple Silicon”. There’s also a new entry-level MacBook Pro, a new Mac Pro and a new Mac mini in preparation for next year.

For the Apple Watch, Gourmet expects three new models, including an updated Apple Watch SE, an updated standard model and “a durable version designed for athletes in extreme sports.”

„2021. was a modest year for Apple product updates, but I would expect a wider range of new products in 2022. Let’s get down to the list of what I expect to come next year, ”says Gurman. Here is a complete overview of everything that can be expected from Apple in 2022, according to Gourmet:

  • New iPad Pro design with wireless charging, plus updates for iPad Air and iPad entry-level.
  • Renovated, premium iMac with Apple silicone above the new 24-inch model.
  • iPhone SE with 5G network.
  • New AirPods Pro headphones.
  • The biggest reconstruction of the MacBook Air in product history, with the addition of the M2 chip and a new design.
  • New versions of the Mac mini, the initial MacBook Pro and the refurbished Mac Pro with Apple silicone.
  • Of course, the iPhone 14 line.
  • Three fresh Apple watches, including the new Apple Watch SE, an updated standard model and a robust version designed for athletes who do extreme sports.
  • And, probably most importantly, the presentation of Apple’s first mixed augmented and virtual reality headphones.

If all this is over, it is clear that Apple has a lot to do in 2022. What are you most excited to see? Let us know in the comments!
