Jason Momoa has a tour in token of support Dune lately, but another project is on the horizon that will soon become his main topic of conversation: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, continued on James Wan |‘s Blockbuster 2018 about often underwater watershe is a hero of DC Comics. That film is now in production, and the cast, which is already filled with returnees from the first film, has just added a few new names, as well as one pretty known.
As Hollywood Reporter notes, Jani Zhao, Indya Moore, and Vincent Regan come with Randall Park – the latter of whom will repeat their role from the first film as a marine biologist obsessed with Atlantis, Dr. Stephen Shin. (For those who run points at home, yes, Park is also a Marvel guy; his character in that universe, Jimmy Woo, played a big role WandaVision.)
As for the other three, here’s what THR has to say about their roles. Zhao is “a mysterious character named Stingray. It is not clear if the role is of a negative nature, but it is an original character created for the film. ”Moore (one of stars currency Pose) being “longtime DC character Karshon. The character was originally a villain of Green Lantern (he first appeared in 1963 Green lantern 24) which was originally a shark which, after being affected by radiation, acquired intelligence and telepathic powers. “And Regan will play”Atlan, the ancient ruler of Atlantis who caused the city to sink into the sea. The character briefly appeared in 2018 Aquaman film, and was portrayed by Graham McTavish. The plot in that film shows Aquaman finding Atlan’s trident. ”
With these intriguing new characters, and of course Momo as Aquaman, Lost Kingdom will return Patrick Wilson (COM)Snake), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black mantle), Amber Heard (COM)Mera),, i Dolph Lundgren (King Nereus). A release date is currently set for the film December 16, 2022.
