Last week, we reported that Apple is offering 0% funding to Apple card users who were confused by the item they bought and who expected to receive a payment option.

According to an email the company sent to its customers, the exception also applies to purchases from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller for transactions in which the customer expected to receive the option of monthly installments of the Apple Card:

“We understand that some customers expected to automatically receive 0% APR when purchasing Apple products with their Apple card,” the email reads. “If you expected to get a 0% APR with monthly Apple Card installments when you buy an Apple product from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, but you didn’t, we can help.”

As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple has contacted some Apple card users to inform them that they have until December 15 to receive their 0% funding:

If you expected to receive 0% APR funding with your Apple Card in monthly installments when you purchase an Apple product from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller, but you didn’t, we can help.

If you contact us by December 15, 2021, we will be able to convert your eligible purchases into an Apple Card monthly installment. To expedite your request, be prepared to identify the transaction (s) for which you expected to receive 0% APR and save your account for submission to a specialist. Talk to an Apple Card Specialist for help.

The Apple Card monthly installment is a payment option that Apple created for its credit card. The option offers 0% funding for certain products purchased at Apple with an Apple card such as an iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even an Apple Pencil. Depending on the price of the item, customers can get the option to finance the purchase for only 6 or even 24 months.
