Clubhouse launches saved replays, reveals a new app icon


Clubhouse has sneaked into the latest update ahead of the holiday break, with a new ‘Saved Reruns’ option that will allow users to save audio recordings from recorded Clubhouse conversations to listen to at a later stage.

As you can see in these screenshots, published by the application researcher Jane Manchun Wong, you will be able to save replays for the room by tapping on the three-dot menu from the hallway or living room, within which you’ll now see the ‘Save replay’ option for later. You’ll then be able to find your saved replays via the new sharing icon at the top of your profile.

Clubhouse officially launched its recorded room option last month, after being noticed by various users in testing, and the sound storage capacity for the later stage adds to the utility and functionality of the option, providing more flexibility and usefulness in your Clubhouse experience.

Although I guess not many people will worry. Clubhouse has come off the face of social media after its huge, sudden rise earlier this year, and while many still use social media audio, it now seems pretty clear that it’s not a game-changing format like some envisioned at one stage.

But there may still be an opportunity in the format, and as such, providing more usage options can only be beneficial, especially since this new process will help increase the value of your chats.

Meanwhile, Clubhouse has also unveiled a new app icon, with a streaming influencer Abraxas Higgins is becoming the new face of the application.

According to the Clubhouse:

Anyway, there are still a lot of people using Clubhouse, and it is especially popular in India, so there could still be marketing potential in the social media sound app.
