Today, Apple announced its annual holiday ad for this year. The three-minute video titled “Saving Simon” was shot entirely on the iPhone 13 Pro. Here are some interesting details about it.
The latest Apple commercial was directed by a father-son duo, Jason Reitman and Oscar-nominated Ivan Reitman. It shows a girl rescuing a snowman she made (Simona) to be destroyed by other children. He puts it in the freezer, and as the year goes by, he develops a connection with the snowman. When winter arrives, the child returns the snowman outside, conveying Apple’s theme – “The ones we’ve been waiting with all year.” The background music is “You and Me” by singer-songwriter Valerie June. Apple did not give additional details about the production of this year’s holiday advertisement. However, the company could use other equipment such as the cardan shaft, equipment, external flash, etc., to complement the iPhone 13 Pro.
Apple’s annual advertising for the holiday season has become a kind of tradition, just like Apple Music Replay and other annual reviews. However, unlike others, the iPhone manufacturer usually delivers emotional or smart advertising. This year’s commercial capitalizes the continued popularity of Apple’s “Recorded on iPhone” campaign.
It’s interesting to watch Apple show off the power of its flagship camera for one of its most important commercials of the year. If you have three minutes left, we suggest you watch the video below and tell us what you think of it in the comments section!
