Apple Stock News: New MacBook Pro and Mac Mini
Apple Stock News: According to MacRumors, no pre-order is necessary to pick up the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini at Apple Stores in the United States and certain other countries. The new MacBook Pros have up to 20% better CPU performance and up to 30% faster graphics than the models from the previous generation thanks to Apple’s most recent M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. The M2 and M2 Pro processor variants are available for the new Mac mini. The desktop computer’s architecture hasn’t changed significantly, however M2 Pro variants have four Thunderbolt 4 ports and an HDMI 2.1 port, as opposed to the M2 model’s two Thunderbolt 4 ports and an HDMI 2.0 port. The starting prices for the new MacBook Pro’s 14-inch and 16-inch models are $1,999 and $2,499, respectively, while the new Mac mini’s starting price is $599.
According to MacRumors, pre-orders for the new HomePod II look to be significantly behind schedule, pushing back shipping dates by up to seven weeks in some areas. The midnight HomePod is expected to arrive in the US in three to four weeks, far later than the HomePod’s launch date of February 3rd. About two years after Apple discontinued the first HomePod, the upgraded model was released. Due to several reasons, including the speaker’s $349 debut price and constrained functionality, the first HomePod did not achieve the level of market success Apple had hoped for.
Apple’s Mixed Reality Headset
According to MacRumors, Apple has been working on an AR/VR headset for years, and with its 2023 release date fast approaching, speculation about the item is increasing. The UI of Apple’s mixed reality headset will be “iOS-like” and include “many capabilities” that are available on the iPhone and iPad. The headgear will also be able to act as an external display for a connected Mac.
The UI of the headset is very identical to that of an iPhone or an iPad, so using it will “feel familiar to Apple customers.” A “key selling feature” of the headgear will be eye and hand tracking, which Apple will implement using external cameras that can track users’ hands and eyes. The headset will have the ability to flip between virtual and augmented reality. Apple expects users to use Air Pods to receive an audio experience on par with the visual experience that the headset gives, even though it will feature built-in speakers. For individuals who wear glasses, Apple will create custom lenses that can rest within the shell. Apple Store locations will have a dedicated space where the headset may be tested and demonstrated after launch to generate interest in it.
