Apple Stock News: Apple Plans to Increase iPhone Production by Thrice in India
Apple Stock News: As part of a bigger strategy to diversify its supply chain away from China and into other parts of the world, Apple reportedly plans to quadruple its iPhone production capacity in India within the next two years. Foxconn recently announced that it had invested $500 million in its Indian subsidiary to expand its operating capabilities there. With stated ambitions to expand production to other devices, including the iPad, Apple and its suppliers now manufacture multiple iPhone models in India, including the new iPhone 14.
Tesla Vehicles Now Include Support for Apple Music
When a Tesla was displayed at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles with an Apple Music app installed, this served as a clue that support for Apple Music was soon to come. Tesla owners have long wished for a feature that would integrate Apple Music, and those who are Apple Music members can install the most recent firmware to obtain it.
Emergency SOS by Satellite is available from the UK, France, Germany, and Ireland
Today, Apple announced the addition of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Ireland to the capability of Find My and Emergency SOS through Satellite. Users of the iPhone 14 can now contact emergency services even when there is no cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity, and calls made via the Emergency SOS via Satellite function will be forwarded to nearby emergency services facilities. All iPhone 14 users running iOS 16.1 in supported nations have access to Apple’s Emergency SOS via Satellite service, which is free to use for two years. Through the Find My app, satellite connectivity can also be used to update a Find My position without Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity.
Golden Globe Nominations for “Severance” and “Black Bird” on Apple TV+
The “Severance” and “Black Bird” Apple TV+ programs have received nominations for the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards, which will be given out on January 10, 2023. Several notable cast members from each program have also been nominated. Golden Globe nominations for the shows “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show” had already been given to Apple TV+.
