Apple Stock News: Apple Pay Later Being Tested
Apple Stock News: According to MacRumors, Apple’s more than 80,000 retail employees in the US were given access to a beta version of its new “Apple Pay Later” function this week for testing. With the “buy now, pay later” financing option known as Apple Pay Later, US consumers who meet certain requirements can divide an Apple Pay purchase into four equal payments over the course of six weeks. According to Apple’s website, Apple Pay Later may not be accessible in every state in the United States at first. Around two months before the credit card appeared in 2019, Apple provided retail staff with access to the Apple Card for testing.
MicroLED Apple Watch Ultra is Scheduled for 2025
According to MacRumors, the first microLED Apple Watch will be released by Apple in 2025. MicroLED technology uses tiny LEDs to create pixels, providing more accurate color, a high contrast ratio for improved HDR and viewing in poor lighting conditions, support for viewing from wider angles, a lower risk of screen burn-in over time compared to OLED technology, quick response times and low latency for higher frame rates, and lower energy consumption for increased efficiency. Since Apple is still in the early stages of developing a microLED Apple Watch, the release dates may change throughout the course of the following year.
Enabling Wireless Charging on the iPhone
According to MacRumors, the reverse wireless charging function that would enable the iPhone to recharge other gadgets like the Air Pods is still being developed by Apple. Apple needs to improve factors like charging efficiency, heat dissipation, and charging speed before introducing a feature that would let the iPhone charge other devices. Like the interface used for MagSafe accessories, Apple is creating a “specific user interface” for bilateral wireless charging. The MagSafe Battery Pack, which is magnetically fastened to an iPhone, enables passthrough charging when the iPhone is connected to a Lightning cable. In the future, charging for Air Pods and other gadgets might function similarly, attaching to the iPhone’s back and charging concurrently with the iPhone.
