Apple Fitness + gets new training collections and a Running Time feature

Apple Fitness + has received a number of upgrades to help users who have vowed to get ready and healthier by 2022. Starting next week, new collections and Running Time features and features will appear for the first time, and more will come later.

The collections are a selected series of exercises and meditations designed to help users achieve a specific goal – such as running their first 5K or improving sleep. Apple describes Time to Run as a new “sound running experience.”

Apple Fitness + gets an upgrade for 2022

“At the beginning of the new year, we know that many people are looking for new ways to go towards their goals. With these new additions, Fitness + makes it easier to motivate yourself and stay active anywhere, ”said Apple Fitness Vice President Jay Blahnik.

“We can’t wait for people to be motivated to achieve their goals with collections and inspired by Time to Run exploring cult cities with a rich history of running,” both will appear on Apple Fitness + on January 10.

Six new collections will be available at launch.

The collections are a series of exercises and meditations, drawn from more than 2,000 in the Apple Fitness + catalog, that are linked together to help users achieve a specific goal. These six will be available at launch:

  • 30-Day Core Challenge
  • Improve your posture with Pilates
  • Perfect your yoga poses for balance
  • Run the first 5K
  • Strengthen your back, stretch your hips
  • Relax for a better time to sleep

It’s time to run

Running time is similar to Apple Fitness +’s existing Time to Walk feature. It’s an audio experience that hopes to help users become “more consistent and better runners,” with each episode focused on a popular running route.

Time to Run hopes to make you a better runner.

The first three routes focus on London, Brooklyn and Miami Beach. New episodes will be added every week on Monday, and Apple says runners of all levels can enjoy them.

In addition to a bunch of Fitness + trainers, the episodes of Time to Run will feature motivational and energizing music, which corresponds to the intensity, location and training of each run. And if you really like the playlist, you can add it to Apple Music.

Look for both of these features within Apple Fitness + on January 10, when Apple will also present its third season of Time to Walk, with guests such as Rebel Wilson, Bernice A. King and Hasan Minhaj.
