Apple advertising vice president Nick Law is leaving the company after two years

As top executives leave the most traditional business in Silicon Valley, Apple suffers another loss as Nick Law, its vice president of Marcom Integration, leaves the company after just over two years in this role.

The departure of Nick Law was revealed Ad Age quoting “more people familiar with it.” According to the publication, in June 2019, “the agency’s longtime veterinarian announced that he would leave his position as CEO of Publicis Groupe to join the Cupertino-based giant in California.”

In recent years, Law has been tasked with leading Apple’s digital approach among its marketing and communications teams. He has played roles in TV, retail, digital advertising and media strategy.

Ad Age he says it is unclear why Nick Law is leaving Apple and where he is going next.

During his tenure at Apple, those close to the matter said that Law was closely involved in the business, especially in social and digital. The company’s “most visible” marketing, however, is probably working in a “more traditional” format, such as its long-running iPhone “Campaign”, which shows the product itself through billboards or movies, including blockbusters run by Hollywood’s A-Listers. His ongoing retail experiential boost, “Today at Apple,” earned him a 2018 Grand Cannes Grand Prix.

At Apple, Law reported to Tor Myhren, Apple’s vice president of marketing communications. In a letter to his colleagues from Publicis, back in 2019, Law said that working with Apple is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity:

Not only did I enjoy Publicis, but I was energized by the ambition and relentless transformation of the Group. Publicis has the right plan, the right model and the right people to solve the big challenges that clients face. I wish I could continue to be a part of the journey, ”but the opportunity to work with a brand I’ve admired all my life was too good to ignore.
