9to5Mac Gift Guide: Beats Studio Buds Vs. Beats Fit Pro Vs. Powerbeats Pro

Since the holiday shopping season is already in full swing, one of the most popular gifts this year will undoubtedly be Beats wireless headphones, such as Beats Studio Buds, Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro.

With three different variations to choose from, making a purchase decision can be difficult. Read on as we compare Beats Studio Buds, Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro to complete your gifts this year.

Beats Studio Buds

Beats Studio Buds were introduced in June. These are the first wireless headphones from the Beats of the year and are great for both iOS and Android users. Beats Studio Buds have a lightweight and compact design with a look similar to the AirPods Pro charging case

They are available in black, white and red, but do not have a handle like AirPods and AirPods Pro With a dial-like shape and a ridge on the outside that contains the Beats logo, they have three different interchangeable silicone tips.

Beats Studio Buds are the first Beats wireless headphones to have active noise cancellation as well as Transparency Mode. With six microphones, these headphones can isolate external sound or create a feeling like you’re not wearing headphones at all.

Unlike the Powerbeats Pro or other Beats headphones, the Beats Fit Pro does not contain Apple’s H1 or W1 chip. This means that although you can easily pair these headphones with your iPhone and iPad, you have to pair them with each device at the same time because there is no support for iCloud syncing. They also lack functions such as ear detection

While perfect for Android users because they offer fast pairing, Beats Studio Buds also have integration with Apple’s Find My app, meaning that when paired via Bluetooth, they allow you to locate lost Beats Studio Buds. using their last known location or by playing a sound.

They cost over $ 149.95, but you can find better deals here at Apple’s official Amazon store.

Beats Fit Pro

Beats Fit Pro recently announced AirPods Pro, but for those who can’t wear AirPods Pro.

Just like Beats Studio Buds, these wireless headphones have active noise cancellation, Transparency Mode, as well as Apple’s H1 chip for quick pairing with Apple devices and using the Hey Siri feature.

These headphones can achieve 6 hours of battery life with ANC or Transparency Mode on, or 7 hours with Adaptive EQ. Combined with the charging case, the new Beats headphones provide 27-30 hours of battery life.

While the Beats Fit Pro suits Apple users better, Android users can also benefit from fast pairing, battery levels and custom controls via the Beats app. These headphones are available in black, gray, purple, white and have interchangeable earbuds. They usually cost $ 199, but you can find better deals here at Apple’s official Amazon store.

Powerbeats Pro

The Beats first truly wireless headphones were announced in 2019. Although it’s been a few years since they were introduced, the Powerbeats Pro are still a great choice for this holiday season. With up to 9 hours of listening per headset, these are the perfect headphones for those who love to exercise.

Powerbeats Pro uses the use of adjustable ear hooks. They wrap around the outer ear to secure the headphones and can be adjusted to wrap more tightly around your ear. Unlike wing tips, ear hooks rest completely on the outside of the ear instead of putting pressure on the outside of the inner ear.

These wireless headphones have Apple’s H1 chip, which means that users can quickly pair Powerbeats Pro with any Apple device and use the Hey Siri feature. Unfortunately, wireless headphones do not have ANC or Transparency mode. Another drawback is their charging case, which is a bit bulky. Nonetheless, the Powerbeats Pro is available in several colors and has been much discounted since they were launched for $ 249, and better deals can be found here at Apple’s official Amazon store.

If you are deciding between these three Beats wireless headphones, you need to think about what you need. For example, Beats Studio Buds are great for Android users or those who want small wireless headphones with ANC and Transparency Mode.

On the other hand, the Beats Fit Pro is incredibly good for those who would love to have an AirPods Pro but know that Apple headphones are uncomfortable in their ears.

Last but not least, the Powerbeats Pro is the perfect choice for runners or people who really love to exercise and make sure the headphones never fall off. Even without ANC or Transparency mode, they offer excellent sound quality and long battery life.

Of course, with all these wireless headphones, you will also get the sound of the recognizable Beats, which means that everything will benefit from stronger bass.
